New York City, New York May 26, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - Dr. Chen is a highly-trained radiation oncologist who treats patients diagnosed with cancer using radiation therapy that targets cancerous cells. 

Currently, he sees patients at both Gamma Knife and Proton Therapy Centers at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak & serves as a Professor of Radiation Oncology at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. He is also the Associate Education Director of the Brachytherapy Fellowship offered by the Department of Radiation Oncology at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak.

A 1978 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine (Chicago), Dr. Chen went on to perform his residency in internal medicine with Beaumont Health (Royal Oak) in 1981. He then performed an additional residency in radiation oncology at the University of Michigan Health System in 1986, and a fellowship in immunology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in 1987.

With over 45 years of experience, the doctor is board-certified in radiation oncology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR supports candidates and diplomates for the benefit of patients and medical professionals.

Moreover, he is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Holding fellowship status, Dr. Chen is a Fellow of the American College of Radiology (FACR) and a Fellow of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (FASTRO).

Radiation oncology is a medical specialty that involves the controlled use of radiation to treat cancer. It is one of the three primary specialties - the other two being surgical and medical oncology - involved in the treatment of cancer. A radiation oncologist is a specialist physician who uses ionizing radiation in the treatment of cancer.

China is emerging as a critical earnings lifeline for Korea’s struggling low-cost carriers (LCCs), offering them access to fast-growing passenger demand and lucrative business traffic as growth in other short-haul markets loses steam.
